1-800-Fireline

It was a dark and stormy night in Pennsylvania. Basements were flooded. Trees were downed. Cars crashed. People of all ages called for help. What would happen if no one answered their call? Who would respond? Who would save their lives? Who would protect their property? Who would get the job done?

21ST Century Project

Pennsylvania was the 5th most populous state in the nation with 12,050,000 people in 1993. By 2000, it's projected to be the 5th most populous state with 12,296,000 people, and by 2020 the 6th most populous with 12,656,000 people.

Death Benefits Act

On June 24, 1976, the Governor signed an act providing for the payment of death benefits to surviving spouse, children, parent or parents of fire fighters, ambulance service or rescue squad members or law enforcement officers killed in the performance of their duties.  The Act has been amended twice since 1976.  The most profound amendment came in December 1994.
