Saturday, September 16 th will be the 5th Annual Community Heroes Day with Penn State Football as the Nittany Lions take on the Georgia State Panthers.

Special ticket packages for active and retired firefighters, police officers, and EMS personnel will be available soon. A portion of each ticket will be donated to help offset in line of duty deaths throughout Pennsylvania. Over the past two years, more than $3,000 has been raised for the cause.

New to this year, first responders will be able to nominate one of their peers to be an honorary participant in the opening coin toss. Penn State Athletics will select one deserving firefighter, one police officer, and one EMS worker to be on the field with Penn State’s captains during the toss. To nominate your peer, please visit www.gopsusports.com/communityheroes.

In addition to the coin toss, those who order prior to June 30 th will be eligible to be selected at random for the pregame flag hold on the field.

All firefighters will be able to order tickets via www.pfesi.org. All police officers will be able to order tickets via www.pafop.org. All EMS personal will be able to order tickets via the www.pehsc.org.

Parking information as well as a kick off time will be available at a later date.
