Our purpose is to identify emergency
response needs, issues, problems, and solutions. Through our
broadly-based membership of fire, rescue, emergency medical services,
industry, and support group organizations, we help the Institute
develop and present information about these concerns to the life
safety community, local and state government representatives, and the
general public.
We exchange information among
ourselves, build coalitions to address common issues, explore
concepts, and apply our experiences to build bridges. We strengthen
our member organizations by combining resources through cooperation.
We strive to be a creative forum for information and ideas that the
Institute can develop and implement.
Board members are expected to support
the activities of the Institute in its educational mission and to act
in a professional manner befitting the proud traditions of our state’s
emergency services.
